A Day in the Life of: James Green

In the next instalment from our 'A Day in the Life of' blog series, we speak to James Green, who has been with us for 7 months now and is firmly settled in and part of the family! Name James Green Job Title Product Designer Tell us about your role... My role at Playscheme is designing and developing new products, schemes and playgrounds, as well as demonstrating ways in which an area could best be utilised. I take the customer right the way through from sales, to mapping out the project and I will even contact the client after it has been installed to ensure that everything is to their liking. What are the key challenges of your role?

The key challenges of my role are hitting deadlines, as a lot of the time they are very tight, however producing designs that people actually want to purchase is also a challenge.

What aspect of your role do you like the best?

I love the the creative side best, and I also like to get involved with the photography of our finished projects. 

How long have you been working at Playscheme?

I have been working here for 7 months. How do you like to spend your free time? 

I like to spend my free time by doing photography and also socialising with my friends.

What is your happiest memory of working at Playscheme? My happiest memory was being involved in the design of the Warwick Castle project and seeing it through until the end. What is your favourite childhood memory? Probably going to airshows. Where did you love to play when you were younger?  On my housing estate in Doncaster. What was your favourite toy as a child? Action Men and Commandos. I also had a miniature tool kit with real tools inside it, which was pretty cool. What is your most treasured possession? My camera What would your super power be? Flying What is your guilty pleasure?  Ice cream If you could go back in time, where would you go? I'd go back to the 60s, I just love the music, and I'm an old fogie at heart How do you relax? I like going for walks What do you consider your greatest achievement? Getting a job at Playscheme What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
